Vegan Salisbury steak - An original recipe by me :D

A few months ago, some friends and I got together for a Stargate themed party. We decided to have themed food too and one of the things from the show is Salisbury steak so I decided to create a Vegan Salisbury steak.
It's pretty easy to make and the quantities I'm going to list will make about 6 steaks, so you can cook up a batch to last a few days.

ingredients:
Dry
330g wheat gluten
2 tsp garlic powder
4 tsp onion powder
2 tsp mustard seeds
1 Tbsp flaxseed
4 Tbsp Engevita
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp sage
1 tsp parsley
fresh cracked black pepper

2 onions

Wet
1 1/2 cups water
4 Tbsp Peanut butter
2 tsp liquid smoke or vegan worcester sauce
2 Tbsp Soy sauce

First add all your wet ingredients together in a bowl and give it a good mix, you are looking to dissolve the peanut butter as much as you can. letting it sit while you measure the dry ingredients makes it easier.
Pre-heat your oven to 200 celsius and have a non stick baking tray ready.

In a large mixing bowl, add the dry ingredients. Cut half of one of the onions into as small pieces as you can and add that too, then give the peanut butter last mix and pour it into the bowl. Using a fork, blend the wet and dry together until there is no more white wheat gluten visible (check for trapped pockets in the middle).

Now using your hands, divide the mix and shape it into whatever steak shapes you like and arrange on the tray. They will rise a bit during cooking so flatten them to about half an inch thick.
Place in the oven and bake for 20 mins. you can turn them half way through to get an even shape.
While they are in the oven, lightly fry the rest of the onions and make a couple of pints of gravy and add that to the fried onions.
When you remove your steaks from the tray, put them in a large roasting tin and cover with the gravy. Keep them in the roasting tin until you are ready to serve. If you are having them over the course of a few days, just put the whole tin back in the oven to warm up before serving.

Photos will be added later :)
